 FAQs

  • Wellness is thriving. It is a practice of nourishing your mind, body, and soul daily and implementing healthy habits. It is building resilience and balance. It is making grounded choices that allow you to live your life in the way that you choose.

  • Wellness coaching is being supported and held accountable in setting goals and implementing positive herbal, nutritional, and lifestyle changes. It is learning to become your own healer and forging your own path to your truest self. As a wellness coach, I support your truth and honor your voice. I hold space for your expanding perspective about your health and wellness and inspire your motivation to make holistic, sustainable shifts.

  • A clinical herbalist specializes in understanding how plants support the body and is trained to look at science-based research and evidence as well as traditional uses of plants. Supporting the unique individual from a holistic standpoint, following the vital force that is present in each human, and integrating that understanding with our herbal allies is the cornerstone of what I do. I do not work with health conditions, I work with people. A clinical herbalist is not a doctor, and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.

  • Each individual has a unique makeup and body constitution. Herbs are not “one-size-fits-all” and the approach of “this herb for that ailment” is very flawed (and usually ineffective). When you work with me, you have access to my many years of study, growing and sitting with plants, and my passion for the pursuit of herbal knowledge.

My training and experience has taught me to consider the uniqueness of each person on their wellness journey and make supportive suggestions about herbs and nutritional and lifestyle practices that can support the body, mind, and spirit on this path. I hold space for your story and listen to your lived experience. We incorporate this into the personalization of your blend.

The internet is full of incorrect information that can be harmful and lead people astray. Misinformation can lead to selecting herbs that are of poor quality, not appropriate for your situation, or that may interact with drugs you're already on. While it is wonderful to live in a time where we have access to over-the-counter products, working with me can lead to more guided decision-making and a personalization that you won't get from Google. This can save you time, money, and be a more effective form of support.

I want to help you connect to the plant realm- I want you to learn how these allies can be grown in your garden or a pot on your windowsill, or how you can add them to your meals or your evening routine. I source only the highest quality organic herbs I can find, or I grow them myself with reverence. If I suggest dietary supplements, you can be sure that research and care has been taking in finding companies that align with my own values and offer transparency in their processes.

  • Our initial consultation is your time to speak at length (about 90 minutes) about your wellness story and goals- your journey, to date, and where you'd like to head, moving forward. I will lend a compassionate ear and take many notes as we speak about your history and any obstacles you’ve been experiencing. It’s the time I get to learn who you are, as a person.

Taking a holistic approach means considering your mind, body, and spirit as an interconnected axis of wellness. We will look at your whole person and find connections to bring about harmony. At the conclusion of our meeting, I will provide you with a wellness plan which may include a customized herbal blend, as well as nutritional and lifestyle suggestions. I’m available (in accordance with my Communication Policy) for any questions you may have about your protocol.

In regards to your herbal blend, I only source the highest quality herbs and herbal extracts, often that I have raised myself from seed. It is my mission to lead you to the herbs that will become your allies on this journey and show you how to work with them in a way that will lend support and balance to your life.

Follow-up appointments are typically scheduled four to six weeks from the initial consultation. This gives us an opportunity to check-in and see what is and is not working, as well as see where you’re at regarding your goals. You may only need one follow-up appointment, or you may decide to have several. Every situation is unique, but the plan is to give you the tools to forge onward on your path to wellness as your own expert.

  • You don’t have to be local to work with me! I use Healthie, an online platform that allows me to work with clients far and wide. We use video calls for our meetings and are able to stay in contact with messaging, goal-setting, and accountability between appointments, just like my local clients.

  • We may decide a customized herbal blend, usually a tea or extract, is appropriate for your situation. The cost of these herbs is not included in a wellness coaching package. I can often provide the herbs from my own dispensary, but if not I can guide you to quality sources.

You are not required to buy anything from me and choosing not to will not impact our work together. If I suggest dietary supplements, you can be sure that research and care has been taken in finding companies that align with my own values and offer transparency in their processes.

  • If you’re ready to get started, you can choose a package from the options above or book a free 15-minute phone call in which you can ask questions about working together before scheduling your consultation. I don’t give herbal, nutritional, or lifestyle suggestions during our introduction call.

I offer single sessions or coaching packages, which we can choose from together depending on your wellness goals. I am happy to offer payment plans, if required. Once scheduled, you’ll be given access to clinical forms to complete prior to our first visit.

  • No, unfortunately I am not currently able to accept insurance.
